Model ISH/IAH/IOH/IWH Instantaneous Circulation Superheaters

Specification

1. General

Furnish and install as shown on the plans one (1) PRECISION model ISH (Steam), IAH (Air), IOH (Oil) or IWH (Water) instantaneous circulation heater, model number __________________.

2. Pressure Vessel, Heater, Mounting & Control Cabinet

Vessel shall be constructed and stamped in accordance with ASME Section IV, H stamped (water) or Section VIII, U stamped (Steam), and National Board registered. The heater shall comply with NEC and UL requirements. IAH/IOH/IWH heaters shall be wrapped with 4” of fiberglass insulation. ISH heaters shall be wrapped in 2” of Rockwool insulation with on layer of standard 2” fiberglass insulation drapped over top of the vessel and extended down its side.

Single-chamber units shall be shipped _______________ (insulated and sheet metal mounted for floor mounting or uninsulated for pipeline mounting). Multi-chamber units shall be mounted on a common base and shipped insulated with a sheet metal enclosure and an integral control cabinet.

3. Heating Elements

Incoloy or copper sheathed heating elements shall be flange mounted via compression fittings in the ASME code pressure vessel. Elements must be replaceable by using standard tools. Element watt density and sheath material shall be selected to best suit the requirements of each application.

4. Electronic Controls

The electronic control scheme shall include Proportional/Integral/Derivative (PID)-controlled input. Elements shall be ________ (step or 0-100% SCR Power Controlled).

5. Control Panel

A NEMA _____ (4 or 1) control panel, or 14 gauge control enclosure, shall be __________ (mounted with the heater on a common skid or as part of the heater enclosure, or shipped for ______ (wall or floor) mounting).

6. Miscellaneous

All units shall comply with the appropriate drawing(s) and written specifications.
